Brownies

Ingredients

100g (4 oz) of Be-Ro Self Raising Flour
100g (4 oz) of margarine
50g (2 oz) of plain chocolate
175g (6 oz) of dark soft brown sugar
2 medium eggs, beaten
2.5ml (½ tsp) vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
50g (2 oz) chopped walnuts

Method

Step One

Heat oven to 180℃, 350℉, Gas Mark 4. Grease a tin 28 x 18 cm (11 x 7 inch).

Step Two

Melt the margarine and chocolate over hot water. Remove from heat and cool.

Step Three

Stir in sugar and add eggs, mixed with vanilla essence.

Step Four

Mix in flour, salt and nuts.

Step Five

Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for about 25-30 minutes until top is crispy and the inside soft.

Step Six

Leave in the tin until cold before cutting into squares.
